Generator Installation in Philadelphia
Standby generators, transfer switches, and portable hookups. Novum lines up a licensed electrician and gets you an upfront quote before installation. Serving Philadelphia and surrounding Pennsylvania communities — same vetted pros, same upfront pricing, same Novum Guarantee.
Rowhomes with shared walls, flat roofs, and basement sewer laterals that back up. Old galvanized supply lines, radiators, and 100-amp panels are typical, so plumbing, electrical, flat-roof repair, and basement waterproofing lead the list. Generator Installation in Philadelphia: what to know
Summer thunderstorms and winter ice can knock out power in tree-lined Chestnut Hill and Mount Airy, and that drives most generator requests. Rowhomes rarely have yard space for a standby unit, so a portable generator hookup with a transfer switch or inlet box is the usual choice. Older small-capacity panels may need an upgrade first, and the work often needs an electrical permit from the city.
